This is not a farm, but an allotment garden situated in the countryside, close to sea, forest and a cosy village. The area is quite small (380m2 including hut, outhouse and greenhouse). Thus an inspiration for optimal use of every inch, with principles applied from permaculture.
Work: very varied - creating a small oasis. Self-sufficient with vegetables, fruit and berries, as well as herbs for food and medicine. Intensive gardening - raised beds, mixed cultures and mulching. Building a compost-toilet, mending a fish-pool and parts of the cottage. Wwoofers with building skills are highly welcomed!
Accommodation: in tipi or the hut. Water and electricity come from solar panels and accumulated rainwater. No television.
If feasible for someone we can arrange that you take care of the house and garden when I am 'on leave'.
Wwoofers – including kids - are welcome April to October inclusive.
